Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What areas do you
service?
A: Presently we provide service in the Corozal Town area and surrounding villages.
Q: Do you plan to
add additional service areas?
A: Yes. If your
location is not currently serviceable, please send us an email so we can
let you know when Stellar Links is available in your area.
Q: Can I add
additional bandwidth to a Stellar Links connection?
A: Stellar Links
is scalable bandwidth – you can easily upgrade your connection with us
by a phone call; we can usually “turn you up” by the end of the business day.
Q: Is a Stellar
Links' connection secure?
A: Yes. A Stellar
Links connection is by its design incredibly secure. The customer is still obligated to have some sort of antivirus to prevent attacks while being on the Internet.
Q: Is Stellar
Links affected by weather?
A: Stellar Links is almost unmoved by inclement
weather. A common practice when a thunderstorm is happening would be to disconnect power to the equipment.
Q: What types of speedtest results should I have?
A: We suggest using http://fast.com for tests. Your connection is "shared bandwidth" and as such your speeds may fluctuate depending on network traffic. We do not offer dedicated (1:1) speeds.
Q: Why do I need to purchase a surge protector?
A: Unfortunately since we have various electrical outages that can damage our equipment (and yours!) we require this surge to be placed.
